In the political and economic context of recent years, European Union law has become an indispensable tool for every lawyer. This “new legal order of international law” (ECJ, Van Gend en Loos) is present in the most varied areas, at the intersection with constitutional law issues and regulating aspects related to the economic life of undertakings on the single market: investment arbitration, corporate governance, business transfer and consumer protection.

 

The law firm STOICA & Asociaţii, in partnership with the Law Faculty, Bucharest University, and the French-Romanian College for Legal Studies organized on June, 13, the conference New developments in European Law– 6th edition, in Constantin Stoicescu Hall of the Law Faculty. The conference was organized during the Romania-France Season 2019, with the support of CursdeGuvernare.ro, Juridice.ro, American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham), British Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC), German Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AHK România), Spanish Official Chamber of Commerce in Romania (ASEMER), Italian Chamber of Commerce in Romania.

 

Reputed foreign and Romanian specialists with remarkable publicistic and academic activity will take part in this event:

  • Prof. Em. Dr. Vlad Constantinesco, Université de Strasbourg;
  • Prof. Univ. Dr. Philippe Merle, Université Paris 2 / Panthéon-Assas;
  • Géraud Sajust de Bergues d’Escalup, State counselor (Conseil d’État);
  • Cristian Diaconescu, Ambassador, former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania and former Minister of Justice of Romania;
