The event took place in the Sala della Regina with the meeting “Supporting Italian Companies Around the World,” promoted by Hon. Nicola Carè and opened with greetings from the Vice President of the Chamber, Anna Ascani.
At the center was the strategic role of the network of Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (CCIE) in supporting Italian businesses in an ever-evolving geopolitical landscape. This value was also confirmed by data shared by the President of Assocamerestero, Mario Pozza: over 21,000 members and approximately 300,000 business contacts each year.
Numerous institutional speeches—with the highest number of parliamentarians from all political forces ever recorded—reiterated a key message: strengthening collaboration between institutions, businesses, and the chamber network to support the competitiveness of the Italian System worldwide. Among the speakers were the Vice President of the Senate, Gian Marco Centinaio, and Hon. Fabrizio Comba, President of the Italy–Romania Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The day concluded at the Senate of the Republic with a visit to Palazzo Madama, highlighting an increasingly close dialogue between Parliament and the Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad.
Before the opening of the proceedings, the CCIE also had the honor of participating in a meeting with His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, a moment of great institutional and symbolic significance.
