The Geopolitical Reset: Implications for Global Business
Against the backdrop of a deeply transforming international landscape, the event “The Geopolitical Reset: Implications for Global Business” took place. Promoted and organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania (CCIPR), the event served as a forum for discussion dedicated to ongoing geopolitical shifts and their tangible impact on the business world.
The proceedings were opened by President Roberto Musneci, who emphasized the importance of strengthening the dialogue between institutions and the business community during this phase of significant changes in global equilibrium.
The meeting featured addresses by H.E. the Ambassador of Italy to Bucharest, Laura Aghilarre, and Dan Moldovan, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defense, contributing to a high-level debate rich with strategic insights.
Through the contributions of high-profile speakers—including Luca Tagliaretti (Director of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre - ECCC), Bernard Siman OBE (Egmont Institute), Adrian Zuckerman (Former US Ambassador to Romania), Edward Monckton (Raedforth), Mihaela Vata (North Star Security Group), Giuseppe Mancini (Leonardo S.p.A.), and Gianluca Meomartini (Bitdefender)—the meeting offered a broad reflection on the challenges and opportunities for companies in an increasingly complex global scenario. It highlighted the central role of international cooperation and the resilience of economic systems.
Among the core themes discussed, alongside new global geopolitical dynamics, was #cybersecurity, which is increasingly becoming a key element for competitiveness, economic security, and corporate resilience.
In a constantly evolving international context, understanding risks and seizing opportunities is fundamental. Initiatives like this confirm the CCIPR's role as a leading platform for guiding Italian companies in Romania in interpreting change and transforming it into value.
Special thanks to Bogdan Chirieac (DC News Now) and Alessandro Martello MSyl (CEO of NSSG) for their professional moderation of the two thematic panels, and to Crowe Romania for hosting the event.
