Yesterday, we had the pleasure of bringing together business leaders and legal professionals for Beyond the Deal, an event exploring how the role of legal counsel has evolved over the years, both within organizations and in external advisory practices.
The event opened with welcome remarks from Cristian Covaciu, International Corporates Director at UniCredit Bank Romania, and Roberto Musneci, President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Romania (CCIpR). The discussions were moderated by Pasquale Silvestro, Vice President of CCIpR & lawyer at Tonucci & Partners and highlighted how legal counsel has moved beyond a primarily technical, risk-focused function to become a strategic business partner, increasingly involved in decision-making, negotiations, corporate governance, and long-term business planning.
The panel of Speakers brought together distinguished professionals from different industries and legal backgrounds that debeted how in an increasingly complex regulatory and economic environment, both roles of an internal or external legal counsel require adaptability, clear communication, and the ability to translate legal complexity into actionable solutions.
