CCIPR at the International Carbon Neutrality Summit in Cluj-Napoca

On May 21st and 22nd, the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Romania proudly took part in the International Carbon Neutrality Summit held in Cluj Napoca, under the leadership of Mayor Emil Boc and Deputy Mayor Dan Ștefan Tarcea.

Representing CCIPR, our President Roberto Musneci joined high-level institutional and business discussions aimed at promoting sustainable, innovative solutions across Europe.

The Summit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the commitment of CCIPR and its members to sustainability and digital transformation.

One of the highlights was the presentation by our member Prysmian who introduced the cutting-edge digitalization project implemented in the remote village of Plaiuri. Thanks to Prysmian’s expertise, 100 homes have been connected with municipal-owned optic fiber, enabling telecom operators to deliver connectivity to small communities that would otherwise remain unserved.

This forward-thinking initiative was supported from its early stages by our member Serban & Musneci Associates, who actively promoted it to both Romanian and international authorities.

CCIPR was also pleased to witness interest from other countries in replicating the model: representatives from the Municipality of Kragujevac (Serbia) attended the event and explored ways to implement similar solutions locally. The presence of H.E. Stefan Tomasevic, Ambassador of Serbia to Romania, further underlined the regional importance of this exchange.

Through its presence and the active involvement of its network, CCIPR continues to serve as a strategic platform connecting Italian excellence to regional innovation and public-private partnerships in Southeast Europe.
