The international conference Smart Airport Cities took place in Ghimbav, serving as a key event to promote the intelligent development of airport cities.
Over 200 participants – including institutional and diplomatic representatives, as well as experts in mobility, urban planning, industry, and tourism – attended the initiative, organized by the Smart City Brașov Association with the involvement of several European Chambers of Commerce, including the #CCIPR.
President Roberto Musneci spoke during the panel dedicated to the role of Chambers of Commerce, highlighting the risks posed by economic and political instability and the potential downgrade that could affect SMEs – the true engine of Romania’s development over the past decades. However, he also expressed confidence in high-tech sectors as a driving force for sustainable growth.
During the conference, Romania’s first electric aircraft – designed by Brașov engineer Călin Gologan and built in Germany – completed its first landing at Brașov-Ghimbav International Airport. A symbolic step toward a greener and more connected future.
